The Benchmark tool allows you to compare the growth of your Twitter account with your industry peers. Find out how you are performing on Twitter compared to other accounts of a similar age, size and industry. Note that the tool is designed to give you a rough idea but we are constantly improving our algorithm to make the results as accurate as possible.
SocialBro has created clusters of Twitter accounts from our database of 100 million active users and grouped these by the age of their account, the number of followers they have and the topics they are related to. Using this information we show you in graphical form the growth of your account, in terms of followers, following, Tweets, lists and Kred influence and outreach, compared to the average of similar accounts.
1. Select Benchmark from the Analytics section of the top menu bar.
2. At the top of the page you can select the topic most relevant to your industry. By default SocialBro will detect which category you are in (based on your bio) but if you think there’s a better match then use the drop-down menu to select a more appropriate topic.
3. The first chart displayed is the benchmark of your evolution in terms of followers, following, Tweets and lists. This chart shows your progress (in green) compared to the progress of accounts similar to your own (in orange).
To switch between the different charts click View chart. To zoom in on a particular part of the chart, click and drag a box over the desired area.
4. Beneath this chart you have a comparison of your influence with the influence of similar accounts, based on Kred scores. You can use these charts to decide if you need to do more to gain retweets, replies and favorites if for example your score is lower than the average of your peers.
